Behind every great frame, there's a production no one sees.
We've spent twenty years making sure it stays that way.
Our Services
Still Production · Film & Motion · Art Buying · Location Scouting · Casting
Some things cannot be templated. A production is one of them.
Every shoot is a unique equation of talent, location, timing, budget and ambition. Our job is to solve it before you arrive on set, while you're there, and long after the last frame is captured.
We have been doing this since 2005, across more than 25 countries and over 250 productions, for some of the most demanding clients in the industry. Not because we follow a formula, but because we have learned that the best productions come from experience, relationships and the willingness to solve problems others haven't anticipated.
We are involved from the first conversation to the final delivery. That means budgeting, planning, logistics, on-set management and post-production oversight - handled as one continuous process, not a series of handoffs. Our clients see exactly where their money goes. And when something changes on set (which it always does) they have someone next to them who has solved that problem before.
-
This is the heart of what we do. We handle every aspect of still image production - from initial budgeting and creative research through permits, visas and insurance, to hands-on set management and post-production oversight. Our approach is total. We don't hand off. We don't cut corners. We stay close to every detail so that the people in front of and behind the camera can focus entirely on the creative work.
Whether it's a three-day campaign shoot in the Mojave Desert or a single-day editorial in Stockholm, we bring the same level of precision, preparation and presence. The scale changes. The standard doesn't.
-
The demand for moving image content has never been higher and the gap between a great concept and a successful film production has never been wider. We bring the same hands-on, detail-driven approach to film and motion that we built our reputation on in stills. Budgeting, location management, crew coordination, permit handling, on-set logistics, and post-production oversight - adapted to the specific demands of moving image, where timelines are tighter, crews are larger, and the cost of a lost day is measured differently.
Whether it's a brand film, a campaign spot, a behind-the-scenes documentary or social content, we manage the production infrastructure so the director and creative team can focus on the work.
-
The right photographer or director changes everything. We advise on talent selection across photography, art direction, styling and other creative disciplines - drawing on two decades of relationships across the global creative community. Our recommendations are guided by the brief, not by affiliations. We work for you, not for the talent. That independence is what makes our advice worth listening to.
-
Every location tells a story before the camera is even unpacked. We maintain an extensive and continuously growing archive of locations across our key markets, and we commission dedicated scouts for projects that require something entirely new. What we bring beyond the archive is judgment - knowing which locations survive the gap between a scouting photo and a sixteen-hour shoot day. Light, access, logistics, permits, neighbors. The things that don't show up in a photograph but determine whether a production runs smoothly.
-
We manage all forms of casting - from high-end model bookings and children's castings to street casting and the search for distinctive, unconventional faces. Casting is where a production starts to feel real. We treat it with the same rigor and care as every other part of the process, because the people in front of the camera are the ones the audience remembers.
About Us
kf Production was founded by Kristina Hofverberg in New York in 2005, after years at the center of high-end photographic production, including roles as Studio Manager and Head of Production for Patrick Demarchelier and photographer Russell James.
Those years shaped everything about how kf Production operates today. The clients were among the most demanding in the world. The margin for error was zero. And the lesson was simple: great production is invisible. When it works, no one notices. When it doesn't, everyone does.
That principle still guides us.
Today, kf Production operates internationally from Stockholm and New York, working in close collaboration with trusted local teams on every continent. Our clients include leading photographers, directors, creative agencies and global brands - spanning campaigns, editorials and commercial productions across markets in more than 25 countries.
We have built this company on a simple promise: every production gets our full attention. No layers, no handoffs, no autopilot. Our clients come back because they know the difference - and so do we.
Our Story
We are based in two of the world's most active production markets, and that's not a coincidence.
Stockholm gives us direct access to the Scandinavian creative scene and a deep network across the Nordic and European markets. New York puts us at the center of the global advertising and editorial industry, with relationships across North America and beyond.
But the real value isn't the addresses. It's the fact that we operate across time zones, cultures and local regulations every day. When a client in New York needs a production in southern Italy, we don't start from scratch - we call people we've worked with before. When a Stockholm agency needs to shoot in the California desert, we know the permits, the crews and the light.
Global reach only matters if it comes with local knowledge. We have both.
Stockholm & New York
Our Philosophy
The best production is one you don't notice
Our job is to remove every obstacle between the creative vision and the final image. When we do it well, the only thing people see is the work.
We build long-term partnerships - with our clients, with local teams, with talent. That's not a business strategy. It's how we work.
Relationships outlast projects
Every production is a first production
We have done this thousands of times, but we have never done your production before. We start every project with fresh eyes, full attention and zero assumptions.
Stockholm. New York. Anywhere in between. We are not limited by geography, and neither should your ambitions be.
We go where the work goes
